I have added a new album to the gallery. These photos offer a unique perspective of the park. This album of photos is exclusively aerial photos of the park taken from the Big Easy.

Six Flags New Orleans is a colorful park during the day, but night time brings out a different side of park, even more colorful than during the day. The latest album added to the gallery is exclusively night photos from throughout the park.

The "Then and Now" pictures were a popular addition to SFNO.com. I have stopped adding photos to that album for now. I will wait a few weeks before I continue the "Then and Now" pictures. I still have about 2 weeks worth to add.

The latest album added to the gallery includes pictures of the new shading added to Cajun Country and the new shaded queue area for Season Pass Processing. Check out the photos of the latest Six Flags New Orleans improvements.

Six Flags New Orleans has a new ride. It is an upcharge Air Boat ride on the lake in the Pontchartrain Beach section of the park. I hear the price to ride may be $10 per person. The boat looks like it will hold up to 16 people. Check out a picture of the new dock and the Air Boat in the gallery.

The "Party Explosion" fireworks show is moving from the basin to the lake in the Pontchartrain Beach section of the park. The date this will take effect is still unknown, but could possibly take effect by this weekend.

The latest information from Six Flags is that the "Party Explosion" fireworks show is taking place on Fridays and Saturdays only, not daily like previously stated.

Yesterday was the last day for the discounted $49.99 season pass. As of today, season passes are now $69.99 plus tax.

This past Friday was the first day of the "Party Explosion" fireworks show. According to Six Flags, this will be a daily show through Labor Day. The show is synchronized with music. Also, this weekend saw the first performance of the "Mardi Gras Ya'll" street style party. This show will run on Fridays and Saturdays until Labor Day.

In other news, Spillway Splashout is back up and running after about a 6 week delay because of a broken chain that had to be custom built for the park. Riders will once again delight in the soaking drop down into the blue catch basin which was painted late last year. Check out this picture of the painted catch basin and drop from opening day. Lastly, much needed shade structures are now going up in Cajun Country.
